Dan Fife's Basketball Coaching Legacy

When Dan Fife began his coaching career at Clarkston High School, his goal was to win a state championship. Eventually, he would accomplish that goal, however what became more important to him than wins and losses was the impact the game of basketball had on local youth at all levels. While learning leadership, teamwork and responsibility, youth at all ages strived to uphold the tradition and culture Clarkston Basketball had come to represent. Continuing and building on what has been established became Coach Fife’s passion and his goal was to ensure funding would be readily available to support basketball related endeavors in the Clarkston Community long after he was gone. 

Through generous donations, mainly from Coach Fife, Coach Fife’s teammates and Clarkston Basketball alumni, our foundation has been able to support basketball equipment donations and other initiatives both at the high school and in the community. Additionally, we have established The Coach Fife Memorial Scholarship given annually to a deserving senior basketball player.
